CAT have been involved in many projects that have required either
a bespoke product or CATs' in depth market knowledge to overcome
issues and below are just a few of our recent projects that have
successfully been completed.
The Oval Cricket Ground
Approached by a London contractor to supply samples of a solid
brass nosing for The Oval Cricket Ground, CAT impressed the architect
and designers with their quality and uniqueness that they insisted
on specifying the BN90 immediately. Having measured The Oval
Cricket Ground's staircase, CAT pre cut and drilled the nosing
before supplying to the contractor to install.
BBC Mailbox Project - Birmingham
Already specified by the architects GMW, miles of CAT's Tag Trim
profile was successfully curved at the new BBC Radio Centre,
Birmingham. As well as providing the formable trim CAT were also
asked to help create new tactile strips for the staircase areas,
specifying that they needed to be brushed stainless steel. CAT
ensured the architect's drawings became reality using all their
knowledge, skill and manufacturing technology to successfully
produce the tactile strips.
HMS Gannett
Based at the Royal Historic Dockyard at Chatham, CAT successfully
supplied their Brass BN2 Nosing so that the Victorian sail steamer
could be shown off to the general public. HMS Gannett now sits
with brass nosings in keeping with the boat's history.
Royal National Geographical Society
Recently specified and installed at the Royal National Geographical
Society are CAT BN5 nosings with PVC insert. Supplied to make
a feature of their staircase the nosings form part of the overall
design of the interior.
BBC Centre, Woodlane
Requiring a modern look to one of their theatres, the BBC's architects
specified CAT's SC55 stainless steel cover plates. Successfully
installed by a leading flooring contractor the SC55 helps create
the overall image that both the architect and client wanted whilst
providing a tough high quality practical trim.
ST. Bartholomew Hospital, London
Within the Breast Cancer Clinic of this well known hospital they
have specified and installed CAT Feline products, in the nisheen
special finish. Specified to compliment the overall interior
finish within the clinic, nisheen is one of CATs' many special
finishes with which to choose from.
Marks and Spencer Lifestores
When a new image was required for the new Marks and Spencer "out
of town" outlet was required CAT's range of stainless steel
profiles meant that they achieved a thoroughly modern look. Successfully
working with the architect and flooring contractor meant that the
project was able to run smoothly.
Jessops
Identifying a problem that Jessops had with regard to their current
profile, CAT proposed a solution using their new CatWalk profile
allowing the shop fitter to meet the deadlines that were upon
him, yet allowing flexibility from the client if they needed
to alter any layouts. Jessops and their shop fitter are now successfully
installing CatWalk.
Holmes Place
Approached by a leading wood manufacturer to solve a problem that
required expansion, yet needed to look very modern CAT stainless
steel trims were successfully installed at one of London's top
gyms. Adding to a modern interior look the CAT range of profiles
allow designers to compliment the rest of their interior design.
Ernest Jones
Needing a look that required a quality finish meant that when Ernest
Jones needed a profile to finish their carpet that only CAT's
mirror polish finish was suitable. Complimenting the interior
style of the Jewellers meant that the designers could continue
the bright look throughout all the fixtures and fittings.
House of Fraser
A very successful project that was managed by Pel Project Management
and installed by Nicholl Ramsey, this huge project required the
development of a new profile with a special finish, yet CAT had
to meet with very strict timescales to meet with the new designs
required by House of Fraser.
Royal Philamonic Orchestra
When new nosings were required at Cadogen Hall, for the Royal Philamonic
Orchestra, they needed to be within keeping of the traditional
style of the building. The CAT BN52 nosing was selected in an
Antique Brass finish so that the natural age of the premises
could be preserved.
